After retiring in Clinton Ms, I spent one year consulting in the environmental engineering business while I restored from the ground up a 1970 Pontiac Lemans Sport Convertible. At the end of the project a brother gave me an old small wood lathe and I started turning. To my wife’s displeasure I found myself turning 18 hours a day. On the family farm I had old building that were not being used and thought I would turn them into woodworking studios. I ended up with a studio that was large enough to house all the the family’s woodworking equipment, where we all work together. Now my hobby is my job. I harvest my own trees, saw and dry the lumber for my projects. I spend most of my waking hours in absolute bliss designing, creating and restoring anything made of wood. My true passion will always be turning on a wood lathe.
