Sam Clark August Pottery Class
Join us at the Craftsmen’s Guild for a hands-on ceramics experience with Guild ceramicist Sam Clark!
In this two-session workshop, you'll create your own beautiful [insert item] from start to finish.
Session One: With Sam’s expert guidance, you’ll shape your piece using foundational ceramic techniques. Once completed, your work will be left to dry and go through its first kiln firing.
Session Two: You'll return to glaze your piece, adding color and character before it undergoes its final firing
There are two options for our class times: morning and afternoon.
Morning Class will take place on August 5th and 19th from 10 am to 12 pm
Afternoon Class will take place on August 5th and 19th from 3 pm to 5 pm

Intro to Linoleum Block Printmaking with Artisan Kit White (for Kids)
Join Guild member Kit White for an "Intro to Linoleum Block Printmaking,” with supplies included. Kids will be introduced to printmaking using styrofoam plates and drawing their design. Once drawn, they will use stamp pad ink to ink the blocks and print on paper using hand barrens. This is a quick and easy way to learn that is fun for kids!
Price: $30 per child

Intro to Linoleum Block Printmaking with Artisan Kit White
Join Guild member Kit White for an "Intro to Linoleum Block Printmaking,” with supplies included. Participants will create their own designs to then carve into linoleum blocks used to print on paper.

Linoleum Block Printing on Tea Towels with Artisan Kit White
Join Guild member Kit White for a, "Linoleum Block Printmaking on Tea Towels,” with supplies included. Participants will create their own designs to then carve into linoleum blocks used to print on tea towels with fabric ink.

Lampwork Glass Bead Workshop I
Learn the basics of lampworking and create glass beads using a torch and colored glass rods. Your handmade beads will be annealed overnight for strength and durability. All students will transform their cooled beads into beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry! Tools and materials will be provided*

Young Artisans Event
This year, the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi is hosting a new event for young artisans to explore and exhibit their creativity! Join us December 3rd, 4th, and 5th at the Bill Waller Craft Center for a gallery created by talented students across the area! Sponsorship badges are valid for all three days of the event, and we hope you will help us in celebrating our young artisans!
Kids Creative Craft Camp - July 2025
Creative Craft Camp has arrived! This 5-day camp for kids is filled with creative art activities including pottery, weaving, woodcarving, mixed media, crafting, and more! Guided by talented guild artisans, campers will bring home unique handmade projects and new creative skills every day. Join us for a week of so much creativity and so much FUN!

July Mosaic Workshop
Join guild artisan, Corley Marsalis, for a 4-day mosaic workshop this summer! This workshop is open to students of ALL skill levels. Come as you are to learn a new creative skill or build on what you have learned in a previous class, because you will create a beautiful 10x10 mosaic piece of artwork. The theme of this July workshop is “summer at sea,” and you will create your unique vision of a lighthouse scene. This is such a fun, creative way to bring home a beautiful piece that you can cherish forever. We hope you can join us!

Stained Glass Suncatcher Workshop

Join artisan, Brian Hill, for an exciting woodturning class on the lathe. Participants will make a vase, coffee scoop, and honey dipper. This is a wonderful way to learn new skills and make beautiful keepsakes!

Guests at this exclusive preview party will enjoy music, light refreshments, wine, a guided firefly tour, and extended firefly viewing on the Natchez Trace Parkway from 7:30-9:30pm. Join us for a true celebration of the start of summer wiht an evening immersed in the beauty of Mississippi’s synchronous fireflies!
Firefly Tours - Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18 - Tickets $8
Guests will enjoy a 20-minute guided firefly tour near the historic Old Trace led by a Mississippi Master Naturalist. Witnessing the beautiful display of twinkling fireflies flashing together among the pines and hardwoods inspires incredible awe for the simple wonders that surround us every day.
We need your help! We will contribute to firefly research through a “firefly count” on each tour. This will help us learn more about how firefly populations and local ecosystems recover from harsh weather events, such as the Summer 2023 drought.
Firefly Day Camp - Saturday, May 17 - Tickets $65 - Ages 6-12
Join us for Firefly Day Camp on Saturday, May 17th from 10am-2pm!
This exciting day camp will include the following activities for kids ages 6-12:
Learn about the firefly life cycle and explore firefly habitat during a hands-on nature walk led by a Mississippi Master Naturalist
Get creative through activities such as pottery, painting, and crafts
Snack time
One ticket to the Saturday night firefly tours to view the fireflies in action. Family members or friends may purchase tickets for a Saturday night tour to join the fun!
Please note: Due to the lingering effects of the Summer 2023 drought, we expect fewer fireflies than in previous years. However, we are seeing positive signs so far this spring, and we hope you will join us in cheering on the fireflies' recovery!
Woodturning Demo Day
Just in time for Mother’s Day! Join the Magnolia Woodturners for a live woodturning demonstration, explore beautifully handcrafted pieces, and discover one-of-a-kind gifts Mom will love!
Mosaic Stepping Stone Class
Join artisan, Andrea Hopper, for a fun mosaic stepping stone class! You will learn glass cutting and shaping to create a stepping stone using the direct method of stained glass application. Chimneyville Arts Festival
During the first weekend of December, the Chimneyville Arts Festival celebrates our artisans while providing patrons a central place to procure new pieces for their own collections and purchase meaningful gifts.
The 2023 Chimneyville Arts Festival was held at the Bill Waller Craft Center in Ridgeland, where guests enjoyed this fantastic show of Mississippi fine crafts with a Preview Party and Festival.
Creative Craft Camps
Each summer, the MS Craft Center hosts multiple sessions of Creative Craft Camp to introduce children to the joy of making things with their hands.
Expert members of the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi immerse campers in a fun, creative, and hands-on experience, teaching the techniques and history of their craft through creating one-of-a-kind pieces of art to take home and cherish for years to come.
