Bill Ellison is a musician/radio host based in Jackson, Mississippi. Bill, a vocalist, guitarist and pianist, has performed professionally for more than 40 years, playing all styles of music from bluegrass to jazz. Since 1992, Bill has hosted “Grassroots,” the Saturday night bluegrass, acoustic and folk music program on Mississippi Public Broadcasting. The show has been awarded the Governor’s Award for Excellence in the Arts and a Certificate of Merit from the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters.

The Wild Flowers is a Jackson, Mississippi-based husband-and-wife duo. Chris and Jessica Derrick blend the deep soul of Southern blues with the elegance of jazz and the melodic warmth of classic pop. Drawing inspiration from legends like The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and the great blues pioneers, their sound is both timeless and deeply personal.

Their music evokes the golden age of songwriting while honoring the rich musical soil of Mississippi. Whether performing on stage or writing in the quiet corners of home, The Wild Flowers craft songs that bloom where love and legacy meet—honest, heartfelt, and steeped in soul.
