My primary call making influences are past and present masters of he craft. I’m a avid call collector and a study the history of game calls and their makers. The shape of my duck call is my original design. To my knowledge, I am the only call maker in the country that incorporates micarta for bands on a duck call. The soundboards that I use are also my design.

My inspiration for woodworking are the process itself and the creation of functional items that can be handed down to future generations.
